While the Orpheum Theater Center is a hub of activity for plays, concerts, and other entertainment options, the facility plays host to dozens of conferences and meetings throughout the year.

The Orpheum Theater Center was constructed to serve all segments of a diverse market. The metropolitan population exceeds 150,000 with nearly 240,000 within the market region. The region has a growing diversified economy. Major employers include financial institutions, health care, manufacturing, education and government. 

The Orpheum Theater Center is a multi-purpose facility composed of three rental spaces in one location: the 100-year-old Historic Orpheum Theater, the Anne Zabel Studio Theater and the Classroom.

A distinctive and historically enhanced facility, the Orpheum Theater was built in 1913 to serve Sioux Falls, SD, as a venue for theatrical presentations in an inviting setting. The Anne Zabel Studio Theater and Classroom spaces were added to the facility in 2007 to enhance usability. The Studio Theater is able to house up to 450 people reception-style or 200 people banquet-style. The Classroom space can accommodate 100 people theater-style.
