The Scandia Falls Nordic Film Festival will take place on Sunday, November 18. The event will take place from 2:30 pm until 9:30 pm and will feature showings of two feature Film Premier plus a film short. There will be a dinner break from 5 pm until 6:30 pm.
The first film begins at 2:30 pm and the second will take place at 7:15 pm. Lobby bar opens at 1:30 pm, with doors to the theater opening half an hour before each film. Unless sold out, tickets will be available at the door.
The Scandia Film Pass can be purchased for $15 and includes any or all films. A $45 True North Smorgasbord meal ticket is also available for purchase until November 12th.
Cinema Falls presents our state's first Nordic Film Festival, sharing the Midwest Premieres of films prior to their release in New York, Minneapolis, and Los Angeles. The matinee film is BECOMING ASTRID, the coming of age story of Astrid Lindgren, children's author and creator of the beloved Pippi Longstocking books. (Rated R) The evening film is a current Norwegian disaster film and blockbuster titled THE QUAKE, an edge-of-your-seat thriller set in downtown Oslo.
